ABOUT ME

IMG20250720125612.jpg

Empathy – Interfaces – Innovation – Ice Cream

Hi there! I’m Pranay 🙌 A designer who loves turning complex problems into simple, delightful experiences. I’ve designed apps, landing pages, and even AI products and even cars—because why not? My journey’s been a mix of engineering, car design, and product design, so I bring a little bit of everything to the table.

Fun fact: My Figma tabs are always open, and so is my food delivery app 🍕.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • I begin by understanding the user’s needs through research, then define the problem clearly. I map out user journeys, explore solutions through wireframes or feature concepts, validate with feedback, and iterate toward a user-centric, viable outcome.

  • I use prioritization frameworks like RICE or MoSCoW, balancing business impact, user value, and technical effort. I also consider user pain points, feedback loops, and team capacity to make informed trade-offs.

  • At Hanabi Technologies, I led the design and feature development for Hana, an AI-powered productivity tool. I conducted user research, mapped flows, built prototypes in Figma, collaborated with engineering, and improved the experience based on usability testing.

  • I keep communication clear and early—sharing designs or requirements at the ideation stage and involving engineers to assess feasibility. We collaborate continuously to stay aligned until release.

  • Depending on the product, I focus on metrics like user retention, feature adoption rate, task success rate, NPS, or AARRR metrics. I define a clear North Star metric to guide design and product decisions.

  • I treat feedback as fuel for refinement. Whether from users, engineers, or PMs, I assess it objectively, test changes when needed, and iterate quickly—always aligning updates with the product’s core goals.

  • At Hana, we saw a 50% drop in daily active users. I discovered the root cause was a massive spike in response times—up to 200 seconds. After testing two hypotheses, we found that optimizing response speed (not model quality) was the key. I worked with devs to improve backend efficiency, cutting response time to under 20 seconds. Usage bounced back quickly—DAUs grew by 70%, surpassing previous levels. This experience taught me the power of data-driven iteration and focused problem-solving.

  • A great product solves a real problem simply and delightfully. It aligns with user needs, business goals, and technical realities—while continuously evolving through feedback and data.

  • I’ve worked on AI-powered tools like Hana, integrating NLP and chat functionality into user flows. I use analytics platforms like Mixpanel and GA to guide design improvements based on behavior data.

  • Because I love creating things that make life simpler and smarter. Product and design roles allow me to blend empathy, creativity, and problem-solving in a way that brings real value to users—and that’s deeply fulfilling for me.
